Christmas decorations are available everywhere, from the most expensive malls to the simplest "tiangge", and from the low-cost stores of Divisoria to the improvised stores installed along the streets. Different designs, sizes, creativity and colors makes these decorations enough to be special as it beautifies the Christmas celebration.
More so, Christmas lights seems to be dancing in the tune of Christmas carols, from the dancing lights of different stars to the amazing lights installed in different establishments and images. Major road ways were also decorated by beautiful decorations in which you will really feel the spirit of Christmas.
A cold breeze blown by the wind, started to embrace us. This will really tell that Christmas season is around and we don't have anything to do with it, but to enjoy it to the fullest.
Gifts are of course common to be seen. Its nice to receive gifts, wrapped with all the love and sincerity of the giver. And you would agree with me, that the more expensive the gifts are, the more we appreciate them.
Foods? Oh yeah! Delicious foods are included in the picture. A Christmas celebration without food is not a celebration.
See? These are the realities! The sad realities! That Christmas is expensive! That Christmas can be bought! That Christmas can be sold! And Christmas is for sale!
But, if we have that thinking of the commoners, that Christmas is the decorations, the lights, the gifts and the foods. We are not celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.
We must be reminded and asked to look back to that simple scenario, where a man is standing with a shaft, with a lady sitting beside him, and a baby lied in the midst of them, three kings offering their own gifts, shepherds with their flock, and the stares of different animals, and angels sings glory to the Highest. That a while ago, a couple was looking for house to be a shelter, but no one offers them to have a resting place. Instead, they found a manger where the woman gave birth to her Son. That exact scenario will tell us what Christmas really is. That it can't be found in material things, instead we must look deeper into that scenario, where a baby was born to redeem your sins and my sins. God gave His Son without hesitation but with full of love... He gave His Son without any condition. And therefore, Christmas is not for sale, but is everywhere, as long as there is somebody who is willing to shattered for somebody's sake, there is Christmas. As long as somebody offers a piece bread, it's Christmas. As long as there is somebody giving his time to listen to another person to ease whatever pains he has, there is Christmas! For Christmas is not for sale, but freely given...
